PTSD doesn't just affect the individual. It can impact families, friends, and support systems as well.
For first responders and those who serve in high-stress professions, loved ones often share in the challenges that come with traumatic experiences.
This PTSD Awareness Month, we're recognizing the importance of supporting not only those experiencing post-traumatic stress, but also the families who stand beside them.
Strong connections help strengthen everyone involved.

PTSD Awareness Month is also a reminder that support is available.
Whether you're navigating post-traumatic stress yourself or supporting someone who is, reaching out for help is a sign of strength NOT weakness.
Resources may include:
• Mental health professionals
• Peer support programs
• Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs)
• Crisis and support hotlines
• Trusted friends, family members, and colleagues
No one should have to carry the weight of trauma alone. 💙 Support starts with connection.

June is PTSD Awareness Month.
Post-traumatic stress can affect anyone, including first responders who regularly face high-stress and traumatic situations in the line of duty. Awareness starts with understanding that support is available, recovery is possible, and no one has to navigate these challenges alone.
If you or someone you know is struggling, reaching out is a sign of strength. Resources are available through mental health professionals, peer support networks, employee assistance programs, and organizations dedicated to first responder wellness.
💙 You are not alone.

Six-month check-in! Thanks to a generous grant from the Pallottine Foundation of Huntington WV, Compass Huntington has been able to provide WHOOP devices to several local members of the police and fire departments.
These tools help track sleep, recovery, and daily strain, offering valuable insight into how demanding work impacts the body over time. This kind of support allows us to go beyond awareness and provide real, measurable ways to improve long-term health and resilience.
We’re incredibly grateful for this investment in the well-being of those who serve our community every day. 💙
