With huge gratitude to a very special bidder, I am happy to say Lev is signed up for three weeks of summer enrichment programs!
I also want to take this time to thank everyone who reached out, bought more, sent a donation, and generally helped get the word out.

This is also a PRIME example of how shopping local and supporting actual businesses has an impact on your community directly. Not just with purchases but even your taxes. The programs lev is in are county programs, which some state tax funds help- giant online retailers do not pay those taxes or help the community.
I can't stress enough that shopping online should always be a last resort for healthy people. We must retrain ourselves and "taking advantage of special sale days" is a calculated move meant to bring you back.

While comics and literature are full of amazing fathers and father figures (and "cautionary tale" fathers), after my re-read this weekend of the latest Alexis Hall book, Odile O'Donnell is the parent I most wish I could be like, special curry and all.

So, it's like this: The store is... Surviving. But that means that the great summer programs we found for Lev, my six year old, despite being fairly inexpensive are out of my price range.
So, Lev's mother, my darling Sarah Luchins, has decided that her son's summer is worth more than keeping her art.
So!! OGs know that Escape Pod Comics has only ever ONCE made store exclusive covers and that was for our combined signing with Ram Venkatesan and RYAN O'SULLIVAN when they both had books out from the Vault Comics. These Savage Shores and Fearscape, respectively.
We are offering up the original painted art for Sarah's LINKING COVERS (as well as one copy each of these rare exclusive cover comics) via SILENT AUCTION through Tuesday, June 23rd. Email us or DM us to put in your bid and we will let you know if you are the high bidder.
