Nominations are being accepted for the 2026 Friend of Extension Award now through July 1, 2026.
The mission of Purdue Extension is to deliver practical, research-based information that enhances lives and livelihoods. There are many individuals who work closely with Purdue Extension Programs (4-H, Master Gardeners, Extension Homemakers) to assist Extension staff in providing relevant, high-impact educational programs.

Grab your friends and get registered for the Extension Homemakers Open Class Adult Exhibits.
This event takes place during the Huntington County 4-H Fair, July 24-30, 2026 at the Huntington County Fairgrounds, 631 E. Taylor St., Huntington, IN.
$3.00 registration fee, per entry, due by July 8, 2026, to Purdue Extension Office, Huntington County, 1340 S. Jefferson St., Huntington, IN. Cash or Checks made payable to Extension Homemakers.
Participants must live in Huntington County or be a member of a Huntington County Extension Homemaker Club. Exhibitors must be 18 years of age and not currently in 4-H to enter.
Each exhibitor may enter only one exhibit per division. All items are to have been completed after August 1, 2025. There are lots of divisions to choose from; something for everyone!
Exhibit Drop-Off - Beacon Credit Union Heritage Hall on Thursday, July 23rd from 4-6 pm or Friday, July 24th from 7:30-8:30 am.
Exhibit Pick-Up - Thursday, July 30th from Noon-3:00 pm. No early releases allowed.

Register for the 2026 Huntington County Master Gardener Open Class Horticulture Show and show-off your green thumb and plant creativity!

This FREE event is open to all ages! Must be a Huntington County resident or member of a Huntington County 4-H Club.

Time: Project Drop Off from 2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Judging begins at 4:00 p.m. in the Poultry Tent

It’s not too late!! 🐝✨
If you have a Mini 4-H’er, be sure to sign them up for our annual Mini 4-H Fun Day!
This year, the kiddos will learn all about those “busy bees” and just how important they are — not only for flowers, but for our everyday lives too! 🌼🍯
They’ll get to learn from the Junior Leaders from 10 - 3pm.
We can’t wait for a fun-filled day of learning, activities, and buzzing around together! 🐝
