Tonight, we had the honor of celebrating one of our alumni as she prepares to welcome her baby into the world. What started as a baby shower became so much more. The room was filled with laughter, love, memories, happy tears, and the kind of support that reminds us why recovery communities matter.

One of the greatest gifts of recovery is learning that we don’t have to walk through life’s milestones alone. To witness women who once struggled now surrounded by hope, friendship, and a community that genuinely cares is something truly special.

We are incredibly grateful to be part of these moments, to show up for one another, and to watch lives continue to grow beyond Freedom House. Tonight was a beautiful reminder that recovery isn’t just about getting clean. It’s about rebuilding lives, creating families, celebrating victories, and finding joy in the journey.

Congratulations to our alumni mama-to-be. We can’t wait to meet your little one. 💕👶✨

Salwa is at the WVU Medicine Addiction Training Institute, making sure everyone knows we can get callers into treatment, usually the same day they call!

Today we’re celebrating a participant who has successfully obtained employment and continues to make positive strides in their recovery journey. Employment is more than a paycheck. It represents responsibility, growth, stability, and a commitment to building a better future.

Today we celebrate an incredible milestone for one of our Alumni, Shanna, who has achieved 6 years of continuous clean time. 🎉💜

Six years ago, she made a decision that changed the course of her life. Through perseverance, growth, faith, and commitment to her recovery, she has continued to show what is possible when someone refuses to give up. Recovery isn’t just about staying clean, it’s about rebuilding a life worth living, healing relationships, finding purpose, and becoming the person you were always meant to be.

Shanna, your journey is an inspiration to everyone who has the privilege of knowing you. Thank you for showing others that recovery is possible, one day at a time. We are incredibly proud of you and grateful to have you as part of the Freedom House Recovery family.
