👇 The FIRST thing that comes to mind when you think about the Keith-Albee.

Was it a movie?
A concert?
A childhood memory?
A school event?
Walking under that iconic marquee downtown?
Or something else entirely?

Drop it below.

I’ll be sharing some responses in an upcoming Tri-State Time Machine episode all about the history and future of one of Huntington’s most beloved landmarks.

For a long time, I’ve been trying to figure out how to come back.

This episode is probably the most personal one I’ve ever recorded. It’s part explanation, part reflection, and maybe a little bit of a love letter to the people who have continued to support Tri-State Time Machine even when I wasn’t showing up the way I wanted to.

Over the last couple of years, life changed in ways I never expected. I lost my mom. I lost WG. I lost pieces of myself along the way. Grief isn’t something you move through in a straight line, and if I’m being honest, there were times when I didn’t have the words, the energy, or the heart to sit behind a microphone and tell stories.

In this episode, I talk about what that journey has looked like. The guilt of stepping away. The weight of loss. The strange ways grief shows up when you least expect it. And how the people who listen to this little podcast have meant more to me than you’ll probably ever know.

If you’ve ever wondered where I’ve been, this is that conversation.

Thank you for your patience. Thank you for your messages. Thank you for sticking around.

Link is in the comments!

And if you’ve ever lost someone who helped shape who you are, I’d love to hear their name in the comments. Tonight, this episode is for my mom and for WG.

Most of all, thank you for allowing me the space to be human.

❤️

A little late—but still worth celebrating 🖤

It hit me after the fact… Tri-State Time Machine officially launched with WG on April 25, 2022.

And looking back at that first season… whew. He & his guests really just jumped in and figured it out as they went.

Those early episodes were full of stories that felt like home—local legends, forgotten places, and the kind of “do you remember when…” moments that instantly take you back. We talked about things that made people laugh, things that made people say, “I haven’t thought about that in YEARS,” and a few that had us all sitting there like… wait, how did that actually happen?

There were moments where we were clearly still finding our rhythm (and probably talking over each other 😅), but there was also something really real about it. No overthinking—just conversations, curiosity, and a genuine love for where we’re from.

That first season set the tone for everything this show has become.

To everyone who’s been here since those early episodes—and to those just finding us now—thank you for riding this out with us.

We’re just getting started.

—Vanessa 🖤
