The treehouse is officially DONE! ✅ The roof is on, the railings are painted, the swing is up, and we even installed a cargo net climbing wall for some extra adventure! The kids (and let’s be honest, the adults too) are loving it. Time to break it in with some serious playtime!

Finally got the treehouse stained! Once everything was prepped, it wasn’t too bad—and honestly, I think it turned out pretty damn good. Glad to have this one checked off the list!

Spent most of the weekend scrubbing down the treehouse—turns out any shady spot was a magnet for mildew. No idea why it hit so hard, but after a solid round of pretreating and scrubbing, it’s looking much better. Just need to touch up a few spots, and it should be ready for stain next weekend!

Another big step in the treehouse build! Got the ship’s ladder fully installed, bolted in, and secured with concrete.

Of course, I had to make a last-minute trip to just before they closed—turns out 2.5 bags of concrete wasn’t quite enough… who knew this ladder needed 3.5 bags! 😅

Just wrapped up this custom redwood planter, sitting snug on the mini retaining wall I built! Next up: adding the liner, irrigation system, and filling it with rich soil. This will be a Sub-Irrigated Planter (SIP) – perfect for low-maintenance gardening and keeping those plants happy all season long. 🌱✨ Can’t wait to see how this turns out! Trim Work Complete (and I didn’t die!)
The trim work is complete (I think 🤔). I added some pieces on the panel with screws to hold everything together. I also completed the fascia on the front around the top. I did almost impale myself on piece of fascia which kinda sucked.
I have to build the ladder, stain the whole thing then screw on the roof.

Just a little tray I made for my sister as gift for being an amazing host for Christmas dinner.
