Tis the Season!

Three years ago, Wesley CDC helped First United Methodist Church Newton reimagine and remodel their underutilized education building into a functional, modern youth space with welcome center and offices.

This year, Christopher Parsons, a member of the church, painted an Advent mural on the glass office walls. What a beautiful reminder of why this time of year is special to many of us!

Monday, November 3rd was a landmark day for the Belmont community. The City Council unanimously voted in favor of the Park Street United Methodist Church development, marking a pivotal step forward. This milestone follows over 6 years of dedicated partnership between Wesley Community Development and Park Street UMC.

To say we are excited would be an understatement. We are deeply grateful to our partners and to the Belmont community for their trust and collaboration throughout this journey. The work is far from over, and Wesley is eager to continue walking this path alongside Park Street UMC as we build a stronger future together.

We are happy to invite you to celebrate GIS Day, a global event dedicated to showcasing the power and impact of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). This is a unique opportunity to explore how GIS technology is transforming ministry by helping churches and faith-based organizations better understand their communities, expand outreach, and serve with greater precision.

At Wesley Community Development, we use GIS to visualize demographic trends, identify areas of greatest need, manage real estate, and allocate resources in ways that strengthen our mission. For church ministry, GIS can be a powerful tool to map member locations, discover opportunities for new outreach, and support existing programs with data-driven insights.

Join us as we share how GIS aligns with ministry work, highlight projects Wesley has completed, and offer hands-on experiences through workshops and demonstrations.

Feel free to register using the flyer's QR code.

We look forward seeing you!
