It is with so much sadness that I share this post. He was our neighbor he was our friend and he always had our backs. He was one of the good ones and I will always appreciate the things he did for us.

Just to let y’all know. Fidel the pine needle guy was in a terrible wreck last week. He was t-Boned and totaled his truck. He has 5 broke ribs and is home. I have worked it out with some of my sweet girls to feed the cats and Johnathan on Sunday. Just thought it would be good for y’all to know. I do not know anything else about anyone selling pine needles. So all I ask is please pray for a speedy recovery.

Y’all know this little tree. It was the tree i always put in the window in the milk barn. I enjoyed looking at it while I poured candles and I know y’all enjoyed driving by and seeing her also lit up. She now has a new home and new lights but her memories will never leave me.

I got a girl that can do all the work for you on Christmas cards because of her husband that helped us with Christmas trees for 20 years. You may remember him it was Michael, well this is his wife and she has an amazing business. She does all the work for you all you do is provide the addresses and sit back and relax. When God made a farmer he had Danny in mind. Just look at the tomatoes he picked today. That little old John Deere tractor was Johnathan’s when he was a little boy. We might not be providing food for the store anymore but Danny’s work is not done yet. He still provides for his family.

This ole farm girl always has something going on. Just finished this afghan and now back to dish clothes. I love farm life just now in a different way…….but one day I will be back to canning and preserving food.

Hey this is Madeline and I need a favor. Fidel wasn’t at the store because of the rain and I was wondering if someone could run up to the store and feed the cats. The food is inside the wood stove. A bowl of dry cat food and two cans of wet. Thank you so much. Please post a picture in comments if you do it.

We sold the best cheese at the store. The black and red rind but since we don’t run the store anymore I found my new favorite cheese. I like to sometimes cut up cheese instead of using the grated Kraft cheese. It makes such a big difference in how a salad taste. Sometimes it’s the little things you have to treat yourself with.

Was at the store today bringing cat food and must have had an angel yesterday because someone brought many bowls and filled with water and put a couple nice mats down. I want to say thank you. I pay the gentleman that sells pine needles to feed the cats everyday but on Sunday he is not there. I have left food inside the wood stove so if anyone feels compelled to stop and feed them it is greatly appreciated. Sometimes it takes a village. We miss everyone and know y’all will always carry a special place in our hearts.

In case you’re wondering if our HOT tree guy is still a part of our lives he sure is. We hosted a wonderful event for our nephew and his beautiful bride at our house yesterday and it was wonderful. He is not blood but he is one of my boys especially when he calls me mama.

This little girl of mine takes the bull by the horns and has helped me so much. She represents me because I have no place anymore but she loves Huntersville and the memories. So here is what we need. Years ago we had a sign made that said welcome to Hubbardville in honor of Jim Hubbard but over the year it rotted. So what I am asking does anyone out there have a picture of the sign. If you do please share. They would like to make another one and put it on the farm.
