After a 1-1 beginning to the fall campaign our boys put together a couple of solid wins today going 2-0 and taking home the silver bracket. A bit short of where we expect to be but you go out and compete no matter where your seeding takes you!

Our Sba Prime 9u boys had themselves a weekend…2-0 in pool play with two run rule games, winning a tight opening round game of bracket play but ultimately coming up a little short 7-8 in the championship game.

One of my favorite saying is that you only lose when you refuse to learn and grow. Our young men are coachable, hungry for knowledge, and fantastic teammates. We COMPETE!

Our athletes boasted a .489ba, a .579obp, and my favorite stat a 1.281ops (AS A TEAM 🤯)…scoring 47 runs over 4 games. The pitching staff allowed 20 earned and struck out 21 while only walking 16.

We had a few squirrelly moments during some contentious times but our young men maintained their composure (in as much as pre-teens do) and pushed through some tough moments. I cannot be prouder of our boys and look forward to many more of these weekends to come.

Our Sba Prime young men are asked a simple, yet pointed, question prior to every game. Their answer must be verbal before entering the dugout…”are you willing!?” because we know they are more than capable. Nothing less than a resloute “I am!” will do.

These young athletes rebounded from a tough Saturday to capture two definitive wins today to win a Silver bracket. They were focused, hungry, and willing…I cannot be more proud of their resolve. This is surely the beginning of many successful weekends to come.
