Whew, what a day! I’m taking a quick break from my very important napping schedule to write this because the two-legged crew is completely wiped out. On behalf of all of us pups, THANK YOU to everyone who came out to the Co****le Tournament today at Middletown Anglers and Hunters!

Honestly, we weren’t totally sure what "co****le" was at first. Humans tossing heavy bags into tiny holes? Sounds like a missed opportunity to play fetch, but hey—you guys seemed to love it! Whether you were a champion bag-trosser, a sideline cheerleader, or you just came for the snacks, you helped raise a ton of money for our rescue. Our bellies and our hearts are so full.

To the volunteers who worked their tails off today: you are the absolute best. You kept everything running smoothly while the rest of us perfected our puppy-dog eyes. We see how hard you work for us, and we promise to pay you back in endless headpuffs and sloppy kisses.

And can we talk about the VIPs of the day? A massive shoutout to Bear and Rocco for pausing their busy schedules of scratching at the door and barking at the wind to make a guest appearance. They totally stole the spotlight. Frankly, the star power was blinding.

Devin:
For the first time, Devin actually looked for me when I wasn't around. He’s definitely trusting me more and more, which I think is huge. He hasn't missed a beat since his previous handler – all he does is PLAY, PLAY, PLAY! Actually his confidence has risen, although there are times when something spooks him and he'll just come to me and lay next to me. I have this thing with him … He’s Devin in house but “Viper” when he’s in public. It's actually funny when everyone hears it. I didn’t think he had a chill bone in his body but once I lay down he’ll come right next to me and just chill. Don’t get it twisted – the minute I move he thinks it’s game time or we’re on the move going somewhere. Exposure is something Devin is getting and one thing for sure – his confidence is showing.

Delaney:
So Delaney over the past few weeks has become extremely lazy to the point she lays down inside, she lays down outside, all she does is lay around like she is 100 years old. So I had to hold a treat in my hand so she smells it, and I began running laps in the yard just so she would get some kind of exercise. She was so exhausted by the time I was done. She came inside and laid on the cold floor to cool off, and then she got in bed and was snoring in a couple minutes, LOL. I think she hated me for doing that to her, but she is still amazing!
