ASHA's Developmental Milestones: Birth to 5 Years are a key resource for parents and caregivers to help families track their child’s development and alert them to possible developmental delays or disorders.

Our Family Place Parent-Child Workshops start next Tuesday at 10:30 am. Only a few spots left! Visit the front desk for a registration form. Some of our community resource professionals include Tonya Batiste from Speech Time PLLC., Urban Strategies - Early Head Start, and MD Kids Pediatrics.

A five-week program for toddlers and their parents/caregivers, this fun, informal, play-based program provides a rich environment of toys, books and art activities. Families have the opportunity to spend time together, make new friends, and talk one-on-one with a different community resource professional each week.

The program is structured into one hour informal play sessions over five weeks, with a different theme each week led by a resource professional. Topics include early literacy, child development, nutrition, music and movement and speech, hearing and language development.

Un programa de cinco semanas para niños de 1 a 3 años y sus padres/cuidadores, este programa divertido, informal y basado en el juego ofrece un ambiente lleno de juguetes, libros y actividades artísticas. Las familias tienen la oportunidad de pasar tiempo juntas, hacer nuevos amigos y hablar individualmente con un profesional de recursos comunitarios cada semana.

El programa está estructurado en sesiones informales de juego de una hora durante cinco semanas, con un tema diferente cada semana dirigido por un profesional de recursos.
