The Humble Rodeo and BBQ Cook Off, a tradition as BIG as TEXAS!
The Humble ISD Education Foundation is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was created by concerned community members who wanted to support innovative educational programs that lead to increased student achievement. The Education Foundation funds these projects and initiatives that fall outside the scope of the district’s normal operating budget. When teachers have exciting ideas that can expand their students’ imaginations and open their minds to new learning possibilities, they often find themselves without the resources to bring these visions to life. The Education Foundation provides grants that bring innovative education to life, and hundreds of inspiring projects have become a reality in every campus throughout the entire school district. Thanks to the combined efforts of the Education Foundation and the Humble Rodeo & BBQ Cook-Off, now more than ever, meaningful learning is taking place outside the classroom walls – as real-life, hands-on activities and programs expand the learning experience while enlightening young.

🔥 IMPORTANT 2027 HUMBLE BBQ COOK-OFF REGISTRATION UPDATE! 🔥
We are changing the registration process for the 2027 Humble BBQ Cook-Off to help prevent the computer system issues experienced during 2026 registration.
📧 RETURNING 2026 COOK-OFF TEAMS
On September 21 by 12:00 noon, registration instructions will be emailed to teams that competed in the 2026 Humble BBQ Cook-Off.
Returning teams will have September 21–30 to register for 2027.
🚨 RETURNERS — PLEASE DON'T PANIC AND RUSH TO REGISTER AT NOON!
If every eligible 2026 team returns, we have room for everyone. You have through September 30 to register. This early registration period was created specifically so everyone does NOT have to hit the registration system at the same time.
We will make every effort to return teams to their previous locations, but previous space placement is NOT guaranteed.
📅 OCTOBER 1 — GENERAL REGISTRATION OPENS
Beginning October 1, registration opens to everyone and all remaining spaces will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Our registration system time-stamps every registration.
If a returning team does not register by September 30, they will enter the general registration pool on October 1 with everyone else.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: September 21–30 registration is ONLY for teams that competed in the 2026 Cook-Off. Advance registration information may NOT be shared with new teams.
Any new team attempting to use the returning-team registration information before October 1 will be disqualified from registering for the 2027 Cook-Off. If a returning team is found to have provided that information, that team will also be disqualified from registering for 2027.
🎉 MORE COOK-OFF SPACES FOR 2027!
There will be no Public Plaza in 2027, which allows us to add additional cook-off spaces to the grounds.
💲 2027 SPACE FEE: $350
The cook-off space fee has remained at $300 for several years. The Executive Board has approved a $50 increase for 2027, bringing the fee to $350 per space.
Port-o-lets, wash stations, and other add-ons will remain at the same prices as 2026.

🇺🇸 Happy 250th Birthday, America! 🇺🇸
Today we celebrate 250 years of freedom, faith, resilience, and the American spirit. We are forever grateful to the brave men and women—past and present—who have sacrificed to protect the freedoms we enjoy every day.
As we gather with family and friends this Independence Day weekend, let us also take a moment to remember those whose lives were tragically lost in the devastating floods that occurred on this holiday weekend last year. Our hearts remain especially with our own Humble Rodeo family as we remember The Wilson 3 and the countless others whose absence is still deeply felt.
May we honor their memories by cherishing the time we have with those we love, lending a helping hand to our neighbors, and never taking our blessings for granted.

There’s just something special about rodeo season in Humble. 🤠
Friends become family.
Volunteers become teammates.
And memories are made that last a lifetime.
