LOVE for my home. LOVE for the South Shore today.
Happy 1 Year Anniversary to Boathouse Bistro - their official one year anniversary since making the jump from the Hingham Shipyard to on the ocean in Hull is the 4th of July! Stop by and say congrats, we are SO lucky to have them! Always a great meal, a comfy setting with a view that can't be beat, and not just service but friendship!
PART 2: The fair!! The fair in Hull is so fun. It shows up, goes hard for a long weekend, then disappears in the night. It's my favorite ferris wheel in the US. Why?? Because I love this area so much and we never get that perspective of our area. I look forward to it so much every year.
We're blessed y'all. I love Hull. I love the South Shore so much. ❤️

How amazing is Alma Nove in Hingham?
We just had a dinner we'll never forget. 100% no BS. The food was spectacular. The service was so kind, friendly, attentive, and great (shout out Felicia!). The atmosphere was bright and comfortable. The patio is amazing. And the Wahlbergs are Boston-area GOLD.
But... this place stands on it's own regardless of who owns it. Executive Chef Paul Wahlberg has earned his top-level respect and I could TASTE chef de cuisine Sean Fitzpatrick's passion for food in every bite - legit.
Stand-outs:
My backyard BBQ special. It's available a couple times a year - GET IT. It's everything you love about a backyard BBQ, elevated.
The lobster mashed potatoes - so rich with chunks of lobster meat throughout.
The drinks - the perfect mix of mix and booze - excellent.
Nana's soup special - the blend of flavors was absolutely divine.
And the arancini we got was bananas. I could do one of those and a salad all day.
EVERYTHING was a level up here. What a beautiful ode to mom and the 9 siblings. Be proud, Wahlbergs. ❤️
The #1 dish World Cup visitors say they want to bring home from the Boston area is chicken Parmesan. Sooooo…. who’s got the best Chick Parm on the South Shore??

How stinking cute is Giardino's Abington's Summer Pop Up?!?
You need to go. 🍋❤️
Stop 2 on our South Shore Farmer's Market Tour took us to the opening of Pembroke Farmers Market, - a market that is quite literally built on COMMUNITY!
It's got a grassroots, homegrown feel because it is!! BIG LOVE to the organizers of this farmer's market. This is residents making it happen and I love that - you can also feel that sense of pride and support here.
Oakdale Farms was showing of beautiful veggies in every color of the rainbow, The Farmhouse Meats & Cheese sold me the tastiest locally raised black angus beef which I made into smash burgers that night, Jammed With Love makes fun tasty jams and those spicy mushrooms I took home were money, is a staple of the community and their focaccia sandwiches were so yummy, Old Standish Woods makes the prettiest birdhouses this side of the Mississippi, Lindsay's Local was a first-timer at the market but still somehow surprised me with a happy belated birthday. Plus I got from to sign my tongue.
Pretty great day, really great market.
Every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month. Go.

Have you ever noticed all the "House of Pizza" restaurants around?
The history of them in New England - popping up from the 50's to the 80's - is really interesting. Most are independently owned - not a chain - and their menus are usually larger than traditional pizzerias, serving subs, salads, pasta, burgers, seafood, even Greek dinners, and gyros.
Now they've become the trusted, locally owned spots where we've been getting pizza for 40 years and we keep doing it because it's pretty tasty, we know the owner, and they're our neighbor.
So the question is - which is YOUR "House of Pizza" and what do you love to order there?
I feel like these spots are under-loved and I'm thinking of doing a tour of "HOuse of Pizzas" to give them some love, so please help! :) Thanks!
How much hummus do you think To Dine For makes in a week?
Answer coming up!
They're wildly popular at Hingham Farmers Market and Fruit Center Marketplace. And my family is obsessed with their wraps in Hull.
I love the food almost as much as I love the owners - Paula and Rafca are the best. Today Rafca is walking us through making their hummus as we ponder the amounts being cranked out of here.
While I was there grape leaves were being wrapped, the smell of fresh rice pilaf cooking was making my mouth water, there was pineapple salsa being made, pickled beets, I was inside a tornado of tasty.
Everything is handmade and amazing. We LOVE To Dine For!! Give them some flowers in the comments!
RAFFERTY'S!!!
Running this one back after making a quick edit to keep everything proper. :)
We LOVE Rafferty's Pub - the vibe is amazing but don't discount the food!! We were blown away. Rafferty's has a solid place in the South Shore's heart and it's plain to see why.
I want to go feature more spots like this. WHERE?? And help me in?!? Owners, regulars, help me please!
