Today would have been my sister Jen's 48th birthday.

It's impossible to imagine her at this age - not because I can't picture her growing older, but because she has stayed 19 in my heart for so long. Nineteen, with her whole world ahead of her. Nineteen, with that laugh, that spark, that sweetness that made everyone feel seen.

Jen had a way of making the world feel warmer just by being in it. She offered comfort without trying, love without limits, and friendship that felt effortless.

She's the original Baby Squid - the inspiration behind my business and the heartbeat behind so much of my creativity.

I miss her every single day. I miss who she was, and who she should still be. I miss the life we were meant to share - the inside jokes, the sisterhood, the friendship that never would have faded.

Happy Father's Day to all the papas, dads, stepdads, father figures, mentors, and pet dads - every kind of father who shows up with love.

Today my heart is especially with my Papa. Jen and I were blessed to be his daughters, and even though he's been gone since 2023, and the love he gave us continues to stay with me in such meaningful ways.
