Beacon For Children

Sometimes we have 40+, sometimes we have 1 but every single day a child comes through here to read and use the tablet for their math work!

The garden our kids planted blossomed into full vegetables every one was happy and brought some home to enjoy!

A few weeks ago we went out into a small farmland and gave some of our kids a lesson on planting crops. Making their own little garden of vegetables to harvest later and eat!

Every weekday afternoon after school, a few of our kids come to use our tablets to get extra math work! They love the tablets and playing the math games!

With the addition of the tablets, the kids haven’t wanted to leave our tutoring sessions. They have been attending our sessions for 6 days a week!

Because of the amazing tablets donated to us we now work with the kids 6 days a week! To make sure each of them get a chance to work with the tablets!

Every child gets their own unique math problems to solve and with the help of our volunteers they can learn how to solve each of these equations!

After a week in school, our kids were back again on Saturday for our tutoring sessions! All throughout the pandemic the tutoring sessions acted like school but now we are a supplement to what they are learning, and we are so happy to have them!

All of our kids finally had the chance to go to in person schooling since last Monday. Our hard work for these past two years with each of these kids is now being put into action! And its only beginning!

Out tutoring sessions give these kids a chance to further their education away from a classroom setting and makes things more intimate due to our smaller groups

Huge thank you to the amazing people that gave our kids in the Philippines shoeboxes with gifts! Not only were we able to hand them out to our kids but also to several different communities!
