I’ve always loved being involved in music and love playing in rooms that enhance the quality of the sounds being produced.

I became interested in acoustics and sound control in the 1980s and got involved in a number of projects designing and producing sound containment, practice spaces, control, rooms, and recording studios.

Some of them are represented in the photographs. I have posted over the years.

I have always felt that the control room is the most important factor and have strived to produce spaces that produce mixes that “travel well”.

I was in a band, “BIG BLACK BEE”
At the turn of the century.

We produced, recorded and mixed our album “ STINGER” in my studio, psycho – acoustics.

Still Life II:
This massive brass and polycarbonate pipe in three ( plus screen ) neat, nesting pieces. Yes, the mating surface on the brass/polycarbonate is a nice, long taper.

The screen gets installed on the bowl seat and then the bowl is placed in the socket.

The bowl has gone through several iterations and this is the best one yet.

Simple and really easy to maintain.
