Mid-Week at STAIR offers a two-day opportunity to add stylish furniture, fine art, silver, and decoration to your home. Balancing modern and traditional, the sale brings together a thoughtfully curated selection from esteemed collections and estates.

Day One is anchored by a Private Collection of an Atlanta Collector, offering a tasteful selection of furniture, decoration, and fine art well suited to a spring interior refresh. Additional highlights include property from the Collection of a Prominent Long Island Family, an Interior Designed by Colefax and Fowler, Riverdale, NY, and Property from the Collection of the Nicholas Brown Family of Rhode Island.​

Day Two highlights the whimsy and style of acclaimed wildlife artist and tableware designer Lynn Chase, featuring Property from the Collection of Lynn Chase from Money Pit Farm. Works from her Berkshires, MA home, along with examples of her own design, offer a glimpse into the creative world of a beloved designer and conservationist.

Celebrating 250 years of the rich material history of the United States, Americana at STAIR on January 29 at 10am, offers a curated selection of furniture, fine art, and objects that represent the heritage of a nation, and the ingenuity of American decorative arts. ​

The sale includes works sourced from several prominent private estates and long-held family collections. Anchoring the sale is The Miller Family Collection, Pittsfield, MA, reflecting a multi-generational family vision of Americana: early New England furniture, historical porcelain, and silver imbued with the quiet dignity of rural craftsmanship. It is the kind of collection that could only have come together over decades of connoisseurship within the Miller family passed through generations.​

Susan and Alan Miller were discerning antiquarians whose refined eye and deep intellectual curiosity shaped a lifetime of thoughtful collecting. Susan’s passion for textiles was a key pillar of their collecting, guided by a fascination with the history embedded in woven patterns, embroidered motifs, and the centuries-old design traditions they reflect. This connection to historical references extended across the couple’s collection, where highlights, including European drawings, Asian works of art, and European and American furniture, show an appreciation for the decorative arts in all their forms.⁠
