A little decking replacement turned into an entire new deck. After looking at the deck, it was decided that the safer thing to do was remove the old deck and footings and replace with all new footings, posts, framing, decking, and rails.

Removing old deck boards and replacing with new pressure treated lumber. Deck boards where removed on both sets of stairs only to find the old stair stringers and joist rotten. Before and after.

Replacement of old rotten deck boards only to find that previous framing and hardware was completely rotten. New framing with galvanized hangers and nails to resist rotting in the future.

Closing in an existing garage for an extra room. Garage door removed, floor reframed, new interior walls and spray insulation. Ready for board!

A new 4x12 firewood shed just in time to fill before the projected blizzard starts.
