For those missing their fathers this Father’s Day… 🪽💙
Father’s Day can be a beautiful celebration, but for many, it’s also a reminder of someone deeply missed.
This weekend, I want to hold space for the sons and daughters carrying grief alongside love. For those who wish they could make one more phone call, hear one more story, ask one more question, or share one more ordinary moment.
Grief is the price we pay for loving someone who mattered.
As both a therapist and a daughter who lost her father, I know that healing doesn’t mean moving on. It means learning how to carry their love forward. Their laughter, lessons, quirks, traditions, and values become part of who we are.
If today feels heavy, know that you are not alone.
May you find comfort in the memories that make you smile, permission for the tears that still come, and peace in knowing that love does not end when a life does.
To all who are grieving a father, grandfather, stepfather, father figure, or the relationship you wish you had—I’m holding space for you today.
✨ Their story lives on through ours.
In loving memory of Thomas P. Jennings - the reason we are TPJ Healing ❤️💓
We see you, fellow grievers.
Signing off for the weekend -

On this day we honor those whose greatest sacrifices have blessed our lives tenfold. May we honor them always, in all that we do.

I’ve been living with grief for more than 22 years, and along the way, I’ve learned a thing or two about love, loss, family, and healing.
Nineteen years ago, on 5/20/07, my life changed forever. As a senior in high school, I changed my college plans and stayed home with my family because nothing felt more important than being together through the unimaginable. No parent should ever have to bury a child.
That loss shaped the course of my life. It opened my eyes to the many ways people experience grief — the unspoken expectations, the complicated family dynamics, the pressure to grieve “correctly,” and the loneliness that can come with profound loss. I knew then that I never wanted anyone to feel alone in their pain, and that promise ultimately led me to become a therapist.
I feel incredibly blessed to do this work every day. TPJHealing was built from grief, loss, resilience, and the healing journey that followed. And if I’ve ever had the privilege of knowing you as your therapist, please know that, in many ways, it is because of Mikey.
Today marks 19 years of life after him. So much time has passed, yet his memory, his smile, and his Dennis-the-Menace spirit continue to ripple outward and impact others in beautiful ways.
If you have lost someone you love, I hope you continue to speak their name — openly, proudly, lovingly — no matter what anyone else thinks grief should look like. ❤️🪽
May will be a month of *revision*. TPJHealing has been operating for two years, backed by 15+ years of experience and we are renewing, rebranding, restructuring, reevaluating. The therapy world is in a constant state of change and requires us to move around with it. We are eternally grateful for the continued support and with these lovely reevaluations of systems we hope that client services will benefit even more from the concierge like access. Be prepared to catch us in the community all summer long!
