Howell Athletics is thrilled to announce Maria Petru as the 2024 Female Highlander of the Year! Congratulations, Maria! Your dedication, sportsmanship, and exceptional skill have set a high standard.

Here are some highlights from our Brighton High School and Howell High School 2023 Varsity Gymnastics season, which concluded with Regionals & States.

Brighton won their Division in the KLAA Conference, 4-0. Howell had a 4-way tie for 1st on their side of the KLAA.

Our High Flyers Girls Team took home some amazing hardware today in Lowell, MI. 1st place Platinum Team award, 1st place overall Gold individual award and 1st place overall Platinum individual award, along with many individual medals for our girls. Way to go, High Flyers!! 💙❤️

Howell Gymnastics Makes History as KLAA Champions

On Feb. 15, Howell Gymnastics made history as they recently won their very first KLAA championship with 140.15 points. Howell was led by Alyssa Murphey, Alyssa Webber, and Audrey Kane. In Division 1, Murphey finished second all-around with a score of 36.0 and took third in the floor exercise and fourth on bars. Weber was fourth all-around, scoring a 35.625 and finished fourth on beam and fifth on vault. In Division 2, Kane took first all-around scoring a 34.9. Congratulations to the Howell Gymnastics team, keep up the good work ladies! “ This year, our team is working really hard to accomplish our goals and have a great season. We are a very close team, and we bring out the best in one another by cheering each other on at our meets,” Murphy says.
