There's quite a bit of history behind the keystone above the door. According to the homeowners, the stone came from the original owners of the property. Legend has it that they sold their farm in Dearborn to Henry Ford, and they kept this stone and incorporated it into their new home in Ypsilanti in the early 1900s. That house burnt down but they saved the stone and incorporated it into another brick house. When they sold their farm their only ask was that if something were to happen to the home, that the stone would find a new place. I gladly made that happen to keep this stones legacy going.
