•What inspired you to work in senior care: I was inspired to work with seniors be because I believe they need so much love and need a little help. It really makes me happy to know that they are taken care of.

Meet our speech-language pathologist Kim!

I’m a dedicated speech-language pathologist with 34 years of experience working with adults, a career that has been very meaningful and continually inspiring. I earned my education from Central Michigan University and Wayne State University. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of helping individuals regain their voices—sometimes literally—after life-altering events such as strokes, injuries, or neurological conditions.
What I love most about my work is helping people reconnecting with loved ones through improved communication or regaining the ability to swallow their favorite foods. Those breakthroughs never lose their impact. Supporting adults through vulnerable and transformative stages of life has shaped not only my career but also my perspective, reinforcing my belief in resilience, patience, and the power of human connection.

Meet our new Nurse Practitioner!

Hello, my name is Anthony Roman, FNP-BC, and I am excited to join the team and care for you as your Nurse Practitioner. I have been a registered nurse since 2016, beginning my nursing education at Mott Community College where I earned my Associate Degree in Nursing. I later completed my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at University of Michigan, followed by my Master of Science in Nursing from Spring Arbor University.
My nursing career began at Ascension Genesys Hospital, where I worked caring for patients in a variety of clinical settings. In 2023, I joined Theoria Medical as a Family Nurse Practitioner. I am passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centered care and building strong relationships with my patients and their families.
Outside of work, I live in Grand Blanc with my husband and our dog, Stormy. In my free time, I enjoy taking Stormy for walks, running, reading, and working in the yard. I look forward to meeting you and being part of your healthcare journey.

As we prepare to open the doors of The Willows at Howell Independent Living, we're excited to introduce Steven, our Director of Food Services.

Steven joins us from another Trilogy campus, bringing extensive experience, fresh ideas, and a genuine passion for creating dining experiences that bring people together. He believes that food is at the heart of every great community and is looking forward to helping residents connect, celebrate, and create lasting memories around the table. Steven is excited to get to know our future residents and help create a welcoming dining experience that brings people together. We are thrilled to have him as part of our team and can't wait for everyone to meet him when our community officially opens!

Our talented chefs prepared specialty dishes for residents to sample and vote on during happy hour. Congratulations to Chef Alex, whose Asian Chicken Bites took home the win! 🏆

A big thank you to Rick, our amazing Director of Rehabilitation, for hosting a Wheelchair Clinic for our residents! Rick spent time inspecting wheelchairs, performing maintenance, making adjustments, and identifying parts that may need to be ordered to ensure each wheelchair is functioning properly and safely.

We are grateful for his dedication and commitment to resident safety, comfort, and independence. Thank you, Rick, for going the extra mile to help keep our residents moving safely and confidently!

My name is Michael, and I became a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant because I wanted to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives during some of their most challenging moments. After completing my education at Mott Community College, I developed a strong commitment to helping individuals recovering from injury or managing health conditions regain independence and confidence. I am passionate about guiding patients toward their highest level of function, so they can live healthy, fulfilling lives with quality and longevity.
