This week’s AI Teacher Lounge newsletter is out.
I kicked it off with a few thoughts from the WeTeach_CS in San Antonio. AI came up in a lot of sessions and conversations, from K-12 to higher ed. The big takeaway?
Nobody really seems to be debating whether AI is here anymore. The real question is what we do with it in actual classrooms, with actual teachers, actual students, and actual school realities.
This week’s newsletter includes a few AI stories worth knowing, a tool worth watching, and one classroom idea teachers can try without turning their week into a science project.
I also released Episode 02 of The AI Teacher Lounge podcast: The Basics of AI | Generative AI Explained for Educators.
In this episode, I break down AI in plain English. We talk about what AI is, what it is not, why it can sound confident and still be wrong, what generative AI actually does, and why teachers still need to keep a human in the loop.
Basically, if you have heard everyone talking about AI but do not want to sit through a vocabulary dump from a tech conference, this episode is for you.

The AI Teacher Lounge is officially rolling.
Last week, we launched the educator-focused AI newsletter and our first podcast. This week, our mailing list has doubled, the website is live, and I added a new section to the newsletter called What I’m Reading & Watching.
That new section is exactly what it sounds like. Each week, I’ll share one resource I actually use to keep up with AI and better understand how these tools are being used in real workflows.
This week’s issue also covers:
☕ AI tools I’m using in my own workflow
📚 MagicSchool and literacy instruction
🎒 Project-based learning and math
🛠 Why good tech support still matters
💡 A practical AI prompt teachers can try this week
The goal of The AI Teacher Lounge is simple: practical AI for educators without the hype, panic, or tool-of-the-day nonsense.

Do you hate typing your ChatGPT prompts as one giant wall of text?
Do you ever type your thoughts in a Word document first, just so you can organize them before copying and pasting them into ChatGPT?
Here’s a simple tip that makes life easier:
* You can add line breaks inside your ChatGPT prompts before you send them.
* Just hold Shift and press Enter. Shift + Enter lets you move to a new line without sending the message.
* It is a small trick, but it makes your prompts easier to read, easier to organize, and easier for ChatGPT to understand.
Sometimes the best AI tip is not fancy. It is just knowing how to make your thoughts easier to work with.

Apparently launching one new thing this week was not enough.
In addition to the first issue of The AI Teacher Lounge newsletter, I also launched The AI Teacher Lounge podcast on YouTube.
The first episode is up now, and it is really just the introduction. What the podcast is, who it is for, why I am doing it, and where I think this whole thing is headed.
The focus of the podcast is going to be practical AI for educators. Not chasing every shiny new tool that showed up five minutes ago. Just “here is how I am actually using this stuff in my workflow, and here is how you might be able to use it too.”
I will be talking about tools like ChatGPT, Claude, NotebookLM, and the major players in the AI space. The reason for that is simple: I want to focus on tools educators are more likely to still have access to next school year, not niche products that may or may not survive the next funding cycle.
Through StackFord, we are already doing consulting and coaching around AI with statewide, nationwide, and global organizations. The podcast and newsletter are a way to share some of that same practical guidance with a wider educator audience.
If you are trying to figure out how AI fits into teaching, training, curriculum work, communication, or just getting through the week with a little less chaos, this is for you.
Practical AI for educators.

Tonight we are going live for another CompTIA Tech+ review!
This session is all about Wireless Fundamentals. We will talk Wi-Fi basics, wireless devices, SSIDs, 2.4 GHz / 5 GHz / 6 GHz bands, wireless security, rogue access points, evil twins, and the other fun stuff that explains why “the Wi-Fi is broken” is sometimes more complicated than it sounds.

Issue 1 of The AI Teacher Lounge Newsletter is live.
There are a lot of AI newsletters out there. Most are built for tech people, tool chasers, or folks trying to sell you the next “this changes everything” moment.
This one is built specifically for educators, by an educator.
No hype. No panic. No random tool lists. No “make thousands of dollars a week with AI” nonsense.
Just a weekly newsletter with practical AI news and ideas that teachers, trainers, instructional designers, and school leaders can actually use professionally, personally, and in the classroom.
There is a lot of noise around AI right now. The goal of The AI Teacher Lounge is to help educators sort through it without needing a second cup of coffee and a decoder ring.
Grab your coffee. Issue 1 is here:
