Designed for growth, Nashville's Thread Bank space is built to support the team today while anticipating what comes next. The layout is intentionally planned to accommodate future expansion, allowing the workplace to evolve without disrupting the overall experience. Flexible zones, adaptable work areas, and a clear organizational structure create a foundation that feels complete now, while making it easy to scale as the team grows.

Texas Gulf Bank’s expansion and refresh brought new life to their Level 01 presence, creating a more connected experience for both customers and staff while supporting the bank’s continued growth.

The project expanded the existing branch footprint across the main lobby corridor to relocate support staff from an upper floor, while also refreshing the operational branch space through carefully phased construction. Working around active teller lines, existing equipment, and the vault required close coordination to keep the bank fully operational throughout the process. During demolition, the team also uncovered infrastructure updates needed to meet current plumbing codes, leading to real time problem solving alongside the full project team.

The result is a refreshed environment that supports day-to-day operations while positioning Texas Gulf Bank for the future.

This AANHPI Heritage Month, we’re recognizing the perspectives and lived experiences that continue to influence the way we design and connect through space.

We asked Monika to share how her background and personal perspective shape her approach to design.

“My approach to design is deeply influenced by my Indian heritage — a culture rooted in richness, craftsmanship, storytelling, and layered detail. Growing up surrounded by vibrant textiles, natural materials, patterns, color, and spaces designed around gathering and tradition shaped the way I experience interiors today. I love creating spaces that feel deeply intentional — spaces that balance warmth and refinement while feeling both functional and grounded.”

The stories, cultures, and experiences we carry with us are often what make spaces feel the most authentic and memorable.

For AANHPI Heritage Month, we’re taking time to recognize the different voices, experiences, and perspectives that continue to influence the way we approach design.

We asked Clarissa to share a reflection on creativity, inspiration, and the environments she feels most inspired to create.

“I grew up in a tight-knit Filipino-American community deeply rooted in a "work hard, celebrate harder" mentality. Because the majority of my family works in healthcare, a large part of my childhood was spent in clinics, psychiatric facilities, and nursing homes. Those spaces instilled in me an incredible respect for people from all walks of life - and a deep awareness of the environments that support them.

While medicine wasn’t my calling, I realized I could still care for people by shaping the physical spaces they utilize every day. Today, I design functional and welcoming environments that foster a true sense of belonging.

A bonus to my upbringing? Having grown up surrounded by an expressive and loud family, I look for opportunities to improve acoustics however I can.”

Design is shaped by the people behind it, and those perspectives are what bring depth, intention, and individuality into every space.

DXP Enterprises partnered with Inventure to bring its Houston teams together under one roof, transforming a partially renovated property into a headquarters that reflects the company’s identity, culture, and long term vision.

Designed with a refined industrial approach, the space balances clean lines and functional detailing to create a workplace that feels both efficient and distinctly DXP. Beyond the office itself, the project introduced building wide amenities including a fitness center, training room, and central monument stair to support employee experience, recruitment, and retention.

One of the project’s most distinctive features is the custom suspended “digital kite,” developed in collaboration with Rootlab. Designed as a sculptural focal point, the installation reinforces DXP’s innovative, high tech identity while adding movement and dimension.

Rootlab’s work continues to shape large scale experiences across Houston; check out Root Lab’s recent work for the FIFA World Cup below.

This AANHPI Heritage Month, we’re celebrating members of our team and the perspectives that continue to influence how we think about design, creativity, and connection.

We asked Tiffany to share a reflection on the role thoughtful design plays in shaping the way people experience a space.

“I believe as a designer, I’m a problem solver. Thoughtful design creates solutions, not only to logistical concerns, but also unspoken needs. There is magic in being in an environment that makes you feel comfortable, safe, invigorated, or even pushes your boundaries. Meaningful design can accomplish all of those things and that’s what I’m constantly striving to create.”

The perspectives we bring into our work help shape environments that feel intentional, human centered, and lasting.

Mental health looks different for everyone. Sometimes it’s movement, time outside, quiet moments, creativity, family, or simply taking a step away to reset.

For Mental Health Awareness Month, our team shared a few of the ways they decompress and take care of themselves outside of work. A small reminder that taking care of people always comes first.

Different projects, connected through color. Across workplace, hospitality, retail, and community spaces, each palette is selected to support the experience, reinforce the brand, and shape the overall feel of the environment. From bold tones to softer neutrals, color becomes another layer of how a space is experienced.
