Itâs Not January. Itâs the Phones.
Car count down? Before you blame the season, listen to your calls. We found the leak in the first 30 secondsâfixed it, drove booking rate to 80%, and car count jumped 24%. If your phones are ringing and your bays arenât full, this is the fastest place to find the problem.
The Fastest Way to Fix Car Count: The First 30 Seconds Is car count down? Itâs easy to blame the usual suspectsâholidays, cold weather, rodeo season, taxes, âJanuary is slow.â We almost did the same thing recently after being spoiled with strong volume for a long stretch.
Our guest hadn't been back to church in a while, but his son had other plans. It started with a simple request: "Daddy, I want to listen to Jesus music." He put on Marvin Sappâs "Never Would Have Made It," thinking it was just for his kid. Instead, it broke him down. He realized that "tug" on his heart wasn't just a feelingâit was a call to come home. PCC Newton out in Boston just put on a CLINIC. 𤯠Hitting over $60k in a single day starting with just three appointments on the books? Thatâs not luck, thatâs intensity. Thatâs taking care of every single customer that walks through the door. Way to go, boys! đŞđ
We talk a lot about "adding to your bag"âlearning new skills, taking on more responsibility, and evolving. But here is the trap:
As you pile on the new stuff, you have to make sure there isnât a hole in the bottom of the bag.
The "hole" is what happens when you get too busy for the basics. You stop doing the very things that made you great in the first place because youâre chasing the next level. If you lose your core skills while trying to add new ones, you aren't growingâyou're just trading one skill for another.
Keep adding to the bag, but check the bottom first. Don't lose what you're already great at.
