Imagine working in temperatures below -40°F.
This recent project in Alaska supported the decommissioning of a nuclear reactor facility that had been in place for more than 50 years. With months of extreme cold and a demanding schedule, careful planning and engineering were critical to the project's success.
Layher provided the engineering design, on-site training, and scaffold solution to our partner for an internal containment structure built within an existing weather enclosure. Using a combination of our Allround®, Keder XL, and FW System, the team delivered a solution tailored to the project's unique requirements.
Every jobsite presents its own challenges and having the right engineering, the right system, and materials ready to ship fast... makes all the difference.

Exciting news! Layher has been recognized as Best Brand of the Year 2026 in the scaffolding systems category by the Plus X Innovation panel of judges.
While we're honored by the award, what makes it truly meaningful is what it represents: the relationships we've built over more than 80 years with contractors, scaffold builders, industrial service providers, engineers, project teams, and partners around the world.
Thank you to everyone who continues to trust us, challenge us, and work alongside us to solve complex challenges every day. This recognition belongs to all of us. 🎉
Here's to creating even more possibilities together. 🙌

79 ft. above the forest floor, with no direct equipment access. 🙃
Built for a Swedish university, this free-standing observation tower was assembled using Layher Allround® almost entirely from standard system components, including integrated stair access and modular LW (Lightweight) components.
With materials transported by ATV and on foot, the system was able to adapt to uneven terrain while additional wire-rope bracing and deep ground anchoring delivered the stability needed to support sensors, cameras, and research equipment at height.👏

There’s a big difference between supplying scaffold and engineering a structure that actively supports the job at 140 ft.🫡
Designed by Layher Engineering and completed by our partner Steel City Scaffolding of Pittsburgh, this high-capacity loading platform system supported mast climber operations with two simultaneous fully decked working levels rated at 50 psf. Additional side platforms provided safe access for anchor installation throughout the climb.💪
Big shoutout to Jonathan Riter and the teams involved in bringing another engineered solution to life.👏

Soccer fans… this one’s for you👊
A look at another exciting project by one of our clients, supported out of our Florida branch ahead of a major international sporting event in 2026.😏
Utilizing Layher Allround®, Event Decks, and FW systems, this cable bridge structure will support broadcast infrastructure surrounding the event. The Rpcgroup.us crew brought it all together using Layher’s safe and efficient systems.
When the world is watching, there’s no room for overpromised systems. Only proven ones.😮💨

In the spirit of the in Downtown Pittsburgh happening this week, here’s a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to bring the fan experience to life at Point Park. 🏈
Layher FOH tower systems were used to house projection equipment, along with an interactive 40-yard dash setup where fans can run alongside projected NFL speeds.
A lot goes into making something like this feel seamless, while keeping safety front and center for fans. Shoutout to our partner Blake Wilson with for another solid execution.👏

Moving the public safely through construction zones requires more than scaffolding. It requires engineered solutions.🫡
At the UCSF, our partners delivered a temporary public access stair and walkway system spanning 133 ft. across campus, providing safe pedestrian access to a parking structure while construction was underway.
The structure crosses sloping and uneven terrain, requiring a solution that could adapt to changing elevations while maintaining full public access compliance.
The stair tower utilizes Layher Scaffolding Public Access components, including specialized guardrails and stair stringers designed specifically to meet public access code requirements, integrated with Layher ® standards, ledgers, bridging ledgers, jacks, and diagonal bracing.
The result:
• Fully code-compliant public access
• Safe pedestrian flow through an active construction zone
• Fast installation using modular system components
• Adaptability across challenging terrain
Excellent work by Scaffold Solutions delivering this project.💪
Layher is now officially operating in Québec.🇨🇦 Our new location in Farnham allows us to better support customers across the entire province with local inventory, faster service, and direct access to Layher’s engineered scaffolding systems. may be over, but the places where people gather to celebrate faith, history, and community are built to stand for centuries.
Over the decades, Layher Scaffolding solutions have supported restoration and preservation work on churches and cathedrals across countless communities. These structures carry centuries of history, craftsmanship, and faith.
The photos below are just a small handful of those projects: shared as a quiet appreciation for the beauty of historic restoration.
Behind each one is the same goal: helping our partners and their teams work safely and efficiently while preserving places that mean so much to the people who gather in them.
