Update on Jinx-
Well poor girl has texted positive for parvo. We are doing everything we can for her. She is currently at the vet and we hope she continues to fight. So far, she doesn’t have any appetite, not wanting to drink water and very lethargic. Her Foster has gone above and beyond driving her everywhere all through the hours of the night, and then today as well.
We were able to raise $418 in donations so far, I would love to continue to at least raise $300 more to help cover her expenses and veterinary care. A big thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone that has donated, I truly appreciate you and I know Jinx does as well. I will continue to post updates, and we hope Jinx wins this battle!!

🚨HAPPENING NOW🚨
We were asked to help with this sweet puppy and she has started showing signs of parvo. We want to do everything we can to save her! When she came into the rescue she was acting completely normal, but now she’s not eating, not drinking, and starting to get lethargic. As a newer rescue, we definitely need help. We need to target for at least $900.
Please, if you can help Jinx we would be so grateful and so would she🥺❤️🩹

Henry is looking for his forever home!
This cutie was saved from the euthanasia list. He is approximately 7 months old, super dog friendly and kid friendly! He loves going for car rides, or just playing in the backyard. Since he is still a puppy, he would benefit from a family that is willing to still help with some simple training that all puppies need! He is potty trained, and working on his kennel training!!
Henry is fully vetted and ready to go!!

Hi everyone!
Please meet Benny and George, a pair we suspect are brothers who were found weaving through cars in town center and asking for a human to stop and help. Their emergency foster can only hold them until September 25th. They have been vaccinated, neutered, and are heartworm negative. We are looking for a foster who can give them a safe place to land while we work on finding the right adopter! We are confident they will find a home quickly.
George is 34 pounds, and Benny is 49 pounds. They are approximately 7 - 12 months. They are good with kids, adults, and other dogs. Cats are TBD because the foster doesn’t have them.
The boys are playful and affectionate without being nonstop chaos. George loves a game of fetch. Benny's favorite game is often just chasing George. They wrestle, share toys, and occasionally stage a very cute tug-of-war, but they are also surprisingly chill. After the morning excitement wears off, they mostly want to follow their people around, lounge nearby, and collapse into a nap. They are potty trained, crate trained, learning commands, and getting better at not pulling on the leash every day.
Can you help us foster one or both? They will be backed by Houston Animals Project, a rescue that will market to and vet potential adopters, and help you with supplies. Fill out a foster application here: https://forms.gle/w47QLMzN5TLEJxf4A

We have great news: Winnie has been adopted!!
Winnie was found during the January 2026 freeze and became the first dog in our rescue. Through extensive medical treatment, we discovered she had some significant special needs: extremely sensitive skin, deafness, and a high heartworm test result. Despite Winnie’s needs, Cheri Reynolds, Winnie’s foster, stepped forward and opened her home to Winnie. Cheri holds such a special place in our hearts as our very first official foster with the rescue.
Over those seven months, Winnie blossomed. She got healthy, gained confidence, and learned how to adjust to life off the streets. She learned to play with other dogs, feel comfortable around children, and even picked up hand signals to navigate life as a deaf pup. We're so grateful Winnie had a foster as committed as Cheri, who cared for her until we found the perfect family. Although she was our first dog in our rescue, she waited patiently as 19 other dogs in our rescue found their forever homes.
But the wait was worth it!! Winnie is now in her new home in Fort Worth, Texas, Winnie gets to go to "work" at a small local feed store with her new parents. She is enjoying being the only dog and soaks up all the attention!! She loves eating blueberries and is working on being comfortable with car rides and petstore trips. Her new family is so supportive and patient. They made Winnie’s unusually long wait worth it.
Thank you to all who have donated toward Winnie’s medical treatment and shared her posts for others to see. Thank you, Cheri, for your patience and love. And thank you to Winnie’s new family. You are all the reason why Winnie has a happy ending to her story!

Meet Bella!
Bella was saved from the Euthanasia List from a high kill shelter just in the nic of time. Its sad because she was owned, but her owners never came for her. Bella's foster mom has learned that she knows commands and is VERY smart! One of her favorites things to do is play fetch or walk the trails. Bella is potty trained, and kennel trained, making her a perfect pup for almost any household! Bella would do great as a family dog, she would do good with bigger dogs in the home or she would be happy by herself as well! Bella is the total package, I dont know how someone could leave her behind at the shelter but we know that will never happen again! Bella is fully vetted and ready to go!!
