Hiking, skiing, concerts, fireworks. That was the shape of her life.

The first case Brian Beckcom ever tried, he was on the other side.
Trial Lawyer Brian Beckcom was defending a Fortune 500 insurance company against a young plumber who had fallen off a roof and badly injured his back. He was convinced the fall was the man's own fault, so he refused to settle and took it to a jury. The jury did not see it his way at all.
What he remembers is handing over the check afterward and realizing he was glad about it. The man deserved that money. Not long after, he stopped representing insurance companies.
