As National Health Center Week comes to a close, we're celebrating the people who make it all possible. 💙

For nearly 50 years, Legacy Community Health has grown from a single clinic into one of the nation's largest community health centers, serving more than 200,000 patients each year.

This week, Team Legacy came together across multiple retreats and gatherings to reconnect, celebrate achievements, and look ahead to the future. From School-Based Health Care teams preparing for a new school year to clinicians, medical assistants, front desk staff, and support teams gathering across our region, these moments reminded us that our greatest strength has always been our people.

Every appointment, every classroom visit, every patient interaction, and every life changed starts with a team committed to serving our communities with compassion and purpose.

Thank you to every member of Team Legacy for helping expand access to care, improve health outcomes, and create healthier futures for the patients and families we serve.

It takes a village, and sometimes that village includes a dedicated healthcare team. 💙

This World Breastfeeding Week, we're celebrating the Legacy maternal health and lactation professionals who help families navigate their feeding journeys with confidence.

Whether it's breastfeeding education, lactation support, postpartum guidance, or simply being there to answer questions, our team is committed to helping parents feel supported every step of the way.

Because every family deserves access to the care, resources, and encouragement they need for a healthy start.

✨ What a night for Wellness Bar by Legacy!

Thank you to OutSmart Magazine for highlighting our recent Cocktails & Community celebration and capturing the energy, connections, and conversations that made the evening so special.

The event brought together community members, partners, and supporters to celebrate Wellness Bar's mission of making preventive healthcare more welcoming, accessible, and affirming for everyone. Please note: All Legacy locations will be closing Wednesday August 5 at 12:00 PM for provider, medical assistant, and front desk staff retreats.

Exception: Legacy Beaumont North will close at 10:00 AM.

The following locations will remain open until 5:00 PM with limited services:

Legacy Fifth Ward Lyons
Legacy Montrose
Legacy Pasadena Southmore
Legacy Southwest

All other locations will resume normal business hours on Thursday, August 6.

Today is World Hepatitis Day and one simple step can make a big difference: get tested.

Hepatitis B and C are serious liver infections that often have few or no symptoms, which means many people don’t know they have them until significant liver damage has already occurred. In fact, hepatitis can go undetected for years, making early detection especially important.

The good news? There is hope.

Kevin has spent years helping expand access to medications, supporting patients, mentoring future healthcare professionals, and serving communities across Houston and southeast Texas. His passion for improving healthcare and helping others is reflected in everything he does.
