She did it.
My daughter graduated Sum Cum Laude from Howard University School of Business today with a B.A in Marketing.
To say I’m proud is an understatement.
She and her brother remind me everyday why I do the work that I do — so our kids like them can see what aligned living looks like.
Selah was a great HS student, but she wasn’t really one of those kids that was set on going to college. I used to be a college counselor so of course she understood the value of it, but she wasn’t really convinced that she wanted to pursue it.
Then came senior year when it was time to apply and she applied to just a couple of schools, Howard being one of them “just to see” if she might get in. Obviously the rest is history.
Selah entered her freshman year of college having already earned 21 credits. I had given her the cheat code but she took it and ran with it.
So for all of you who keep saying “Graduation?! Whew, that was fast!”, it was. Only 3 years in fact. Not because she had it all figured out from the start, but rather because she trusted the divine process to unfold in her favor.
She was right.
And now she’s done.
Congratulations
I used to think I was lazy. Like I wasn’t as driven or as motivated as everyone else around me. Turns out I just wasn’t looking to create the same kind of life as them.
I chose freedom.
This is Mi.
The big leap can become the big flop if you’re not careful.
I don’t want a GOOD life, I want a GREAT life.
Living my best life NOW.
