🔥THE DOLLAR IS WORTH 76% LESS.

And that may explain more about America’s affordability crisis than almost anything else.

🚨AMERICA’S AFFORDABILITY CRISIS: THE SOLUTION IN PLAIN SIGHT🚨

Housing. Groceries. Insurance. College.

Everything costs more.

But what if the deeper problem isn’t simply that everything is costs more…

…but that the American dollar is worth less?

Not worthless.

But WORTH LESS…

Put simply:

Affordability is what Americans FEEL.

Inflation is what Americans SEE.

The declining purchasing power of the dollar is the UNDERLYING monetary problem.

And chronic debt and deficits are the fiscal problem we MUST confront.

Since August 1971, the dollar has lost roughly 76% of its purchasing power.

And inflation is cumulative. It accumulates. It does not go down.

When inflation falls from 8% to 2%, prices don’t go back down. They simply rise more slowly from the new, higher 8% level. Get it? This is important.

(Of course supply and demand matter. Wars, hurricanes, shortages and other disruptions create price shocks. Markets respond, and many of those pressures dissipate).

But America’s DEEPER problem is structural.

Last week, our national debt has now surpassed $40 TRILLION.

Decade after decade:

Borrow.
Spend.
Borrow.
Spend.

Debt isn’t free. It’s an albatross around America’s economic neck.

Eventually SOMEBODY pays. The Laws of Economics always win.

And increasingly, Americans are paying with dollars that are…. worth LESS.

Who gets squeezed hardest?

The middle class…

The family trying to buy its first home.
The retiree living on savings.
The worker whose paycheck buys less.
The young couple wondering whether the American Dream is still within reach.

So yes—housing, energy, taxes, regulation and education policy all matter.

Do them.

But the LONG-TERM solution is bigger:

RESTORE the purchasing power of the American dollar.

And that means confronting chronic deficits and the national debt.

There are no painless choices.

But there is hope.

America remains an extraordinary economic engine.

We can restore economic health.
We can rebuild the middle class.
We can make the American Dream reachable again.

Work hard.
Save your money.
Build a better life for your children.

A STRONG dollar rewards all three.

Restore the dollar.

Restore affordability.

Restore the American Dream.

What if God asked you and me one question:

“Why should I let you into heaven?”

I couldn’t point to my life.
I couldn’t point to the good things I’ve done.
I couldn’t point to the times I tried to love others, serve God, go to church, give generously, or live the way I should.

Because even my best efforts have fallen far short—way short.

The truth is:

My ONLY hope for eternal life and salvation is Jesus Christ.

I bring NOTHING to the table except my sin and bad choices.

I have no righteousness of my own to offer God. Zip. None.

And that is exactly why I need a Savior and Redeemer.

Paul put it this way:

“Not having a righteousness of my own… but that which comes through faith [trust] in Christ.”
—Philippians 3:9

The Gospel is not:

Do enough.
Be good enough.
Try hard enough.

The Gospel is:

JESUS did enough.

He lived the life I could not live.
He died the death MY SIN deserved.

And God raised Him from the dead.
And He gives eternal life to everyone who trusts in Him.

Jesus said:

“Whoever comes to Me I will never cast out.”
—John 6:37

So when my life is over, I will not stand before God pointing to what I did.

I will point to what Jesus did for me.

I bring nothing.
Jesus brings everything.

My only hope is Christ.
My trust is in Christ.
My salvation rests entirely on what Christ did on the cross and in his resurrection.

“For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
—Romans 10:13

Call upon Him.
Trust Him.
He will save you.

He keeps His promises.

Kind of says it all… sad.

What treasure?

“You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
— Matthew 16:16

“The one who comes to Me I will never cast out.”
— John 6:37

“Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.”
— John 6:68

“The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and from joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.”
— Matthew 13:44

Jesus is the greatest treasure we will ever find.

If you have found Him… you are wealthy beyond compare.

America’s greatest strength did not arise by accident. It grew out of a civilization deeply shaped by Christianity—its understanding of the dignity of the individual, the rule of law, limited government, liberty, personal responsibility, and the belief that our rights come from God, not the state.

Remove those foundations, and eventually the house built upon them begins to crack.

The America we inherited was not born from secularism. It was born from the moral and cultural soil of Christendom.

The bad news?

Every one of us struggles with these roots—some roots more than others—but none of us are exempt.

Today… ENVY.

Read it forward:
Envy kills gratitude.

Now read it backward:
Gratitude kills envy.

Envy asks, “Why didn’t God give me what THEY have?”

A bigger house.
A newer car.
A better vacation.
A happier marriage.
More success.

Social media makes it even worse.

We’re comparing our everyday lives…

…to everyone else’s highlight reel.

King Solomon had more wealth, power, pleasure, and success than perhaps anyone who has ever lived.

Yet he discovered that nothing “under the sun” could SATISFY the human heart. The Bible says he tried it all—much like we do.

So what’s the antidote?

Stop counting someone else’s blessings…

…and start counting your own.

Thank God for your family.
Your friends.
Your home.
Your church.
Your health.
Your salvation.

“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

Envy counts someone else’s blessings.

Gratitude counts your own.

The bad news?

Every one of us struggles with these roots—some more than others—but none of us are exempt.

LUST

Read it forward:
Lust kills purity.

Now read it backward:
Purity kills lust.

Lust isn’t just about s*x.

It’s about allowing our desires to become our MASTER instead of our servant.

The internet didn’t create lust…

…it simply made temptation available 24/7.

Search. Click. Image. Boom.

Lust doesn’t necessarily begin in the bedroom.

It begins in the heart—when another person becomes an object instead of someone created in the IMAGE of God. (That’s worth reading again).

People are not products to consume.

They’re image-bearers of God… TO HONOR.

Lust changes the question from:

“How can I love this person?”

to…

“What can how can this person gratify me?”

That’s where the damage begins, especially to the wiring of the brain.

Here’s today’s root…

…and here’s today’s God-given antidote:

“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” (Matthew 5:8)

Find the root… and you and I can change the fruit.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whosoever believes [trusts] in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” — John 3:16

Choose to be a “whosoever” today… and Live.
