One of our senior pups at the shelter — Buddy — finally got adopted after 9 months of waiting.
He’s gentle, calm, a little slow… and absolutely perfect. The kind of dog that doesn’t beg for attention, but quietly wins your heart one tail wag at a time.

When his new family walked in, it was like he knew. He perked up, trotted over, and leaned into their legs like he’d known them forever. I nearly cried on the spot (okay, maybe I did cry 😅).

These are the moments that make it all worth it. The cleaning, the early mornings, the heartbreaks — they all fade when you see one of your animals finally find home.

🐾 “Sometimes they choose you.”

We took in an older dog last week.
Grey around the muzzle, limping a little, eyes tired but still hopeful.

Most people walked right past his kennel.
But every time I stepped in, he’d just sit there, looking at me like he already knew me.

Yesterday, while I was sweeping, he slowly walked over and rested his head on my knee.
No bark. No begging. Just… trust.

We’ve named him “Bishop.”
And I think he’s decided I’m his person.

You never know when a regular Tuesday becomes a moment you’ll remember forever.

Two months ago, a beautiful gray cat named Miso went missing.
His family was heartbroken. They put up flyers, called shelters, and never gave up hope.

This morning… Miso came back.
Skinny, a little dirty, but safe—and still purring like he owns the place.

The reunion was pure magic. Tears. Laughs. So many cuddles.
He curled up in his human’s arms like he’d never left.

We needed this today.
Sometimes, in the middle of the chaos, we get a reminder of why we do what we do. ❤️

🐾 “I only turned my back for ONE second…”

So I was talking to my neighbor for what—maybe 2 minutes?
And when I came back into the yard… this is what I found.
Apparently, word got out that I give really good treats. 😅

I swear I only have two dogs. Just two.
But now it looks like I’m hosting the neighborhood’s official dog party. And you know what? I’m not even mad. These faces made my entire week. 🐕💕

Might start charging for entry though…
Or at least get some help with cleanup. 😆

Last week, my cousin called me freaking out.
