Peace in Cognitive Wellness PLLC
Hello! I am a virtual therapist for children, teens, parents & those facing infertility. Compassionate care across Texas. Insurance accepted.
I teach coping skills to help you manage stress, emotions & life’s challenges. Call/text 832-271-1935.
When life feels heavy and I can’t seem to find my peace, I step outside and spend time in my garden. There is something grounding about being in nature, slowing down, and focusing on the simple things growing around me.
Life isn’t always easy, and we all need healthy ways to cope with stress, anxiety, and overwhelm. Gardening and connecting with nature have become one of my favorite coping skills because they help me reconnect with the present moment.
What helps you find peace when life gets hard? I’d love to hear about your healthy coping skills. 🌱

A positive pregnancy test after infertility, IVF, or pregnancy loss does not always bring immediate joy.
For many individuals and couples, it brings fear, hesitation, and a cautious sense of hope.
You may find yourself thinking:
“I want to believe this will work, but I’m afraid to let myself hope.”
This experience is often called guarded hope.
Guarded hope is not a sign that you are ungrateful or pessimistic. It is a natural response to the grief and uncertainty that infertility and loss can create.
In my latest blog post, I explore why guarded hope happens, how grief and hope can coexist, and ways to support yourself during pregnancy after infertility or loss.
If this resonates with you, please know you are not alone.

Grief can be overwhelming.
It can show up as tears that seem to come out of nowhere, exhaustion that sleep doesn’t fix, difficulty concentrating, anxiety, or a heaviness that follows you throughout the day.
Grief is not limited to the death of a loved one. It can also come after miscarriage, infertility, divorce, chronic illness, trauma, or the loss of the future you hoped for.
If you’ve ever thought, “I’m tired of crying,” you are not alone.
In my latest blog, I discuss why grief can feel so overwhelming and share gentle ways to cope when the pain feels too heavy to carry.

Comparison is exhausting.
It convinces you that you’re behind…
that you’re not doing enough…
that everyone else has it figured out but you.
But you’re comparing your real, full life
to someone else’s highlight reel.
I wrote a blog about how comparison impacts anxiety, self-worth, and how to start shifting those patterns. 🤍

As a therapist, I get questions often about resentment, why it sticks around, how to know if you’re holding onto it, and how to finally let it go.
Resentment is more common than people realize, especially when hurt hasn’t been fully processed or communicated. I wrote a blog breaking down what resentment looks like, why it impacts our emotional well-being, and practical ways to begin healing, even when there’s no apology or closure.
If this resonates with you, you’re not alone. 💛

For a long time, I didn’t fully recognize the grief I was carrying from pregnancy loss and infertility. I thought because the losses happened early, or because life kept moving, I was supposed to move forward quickly too. But grief doesn’t always look the way we expect it to.
Miscarriage grief can be complex. It can show up in quiet moments, on important dates, during fertility struggles, or in the sadness of imagining what could have been. Sometimes it’s not only the loss of a pregnancy, it’s the loss of hope, excitement, identity, or the future you pictured.
As someone who has experienced infertility, I know how invisible this kind of grief can feel. Many people carry it silently, unsure if their pain is “valid enough” to talk about.
I wrote this blog to help normalize the emotional impact of miscarriage, chemical pregnancy, infertility, and the many forms grief can take after loss.
If this is part of your story, you are not alone. 🤍
