Houston's first FIFA World Cup match is in the books, but many downtown business owners say the crowds they were expecting never showed up. ⚽🏙️
Restaurants and bars stocked up, hired extra staff and revamped menus ahead of the tournament, anticipating a major boost in customers.
Instead, some workers described the weekend as one of the slowest of the year.
"I've been here through Super Bowls. I've been here through Astros World Series games. This is like a regular day," one Houston resident told KPRC2 Mario Diaz
