Managing staff compliance training manually can make it harder for district teams to stay compliant.
When required training depends on manual reminders and follow-ups, administrators can lose valuable time chasing updates instead of focusing on the larger work of keeping staff prepared and compliant. With automated assignments, completion tracking, and training reports, districts can build a more consistent process that gives teams clearer visibility and reduces administrative lift.
Raptor Staff Compliance Training, powered by PublicSchoolWORKS, is now available at no cost to TASB RMF member districts.

An emergency can unfold during the most routine parts of the day: drop off, nap time, outdoor play, or pick up.
Thatโs why emergency preparedness in early childhood settings has to be more than a binder on a shelf.
A strong childcare emergency preparedness plan gives staff clear direction before stress, noise, and uncertainty make decisions harder. It outlines what to do during evacuations, lockdowns, shelter-in-place situations, medical emergencies, severe weather, and other incidents that could impact young children.
Preparedness also depends on practice. Regular drills, clear documentation, and staff training can help childcare teams respond with more confidence when every second counts.

Safety at schools goes beyond physical security. Students need to feel emotionally safe, supported, and like they truly belong in order to learn and grow.
In the latest episode of Principals of Change, Dr. Amy Grosso speaks with Marie-Pier Ingraham, Principal of Good Shepherd Catholic School (MD), about building a school culture rooted in trust, transparency, and connection.
Marie-Pier shares practical insight into creating spaces where students feel comfortable being themselves, strengthening communication with families during difficult moments, and what emotional safety looks like in everyday school leadership.

When a school emergency happens, staff need fast communication, clear protocols, and reliable systems that help teams coordinate response across campusโwhether for internal team assists or emergencies that require a 911 response.
Through Raptorโs partnership with Vivi , schools can extend emergency communication beyond phones and radios to classroom screens, staff devices, and digital signage throughout campus.
In our recent on-demand webinar, Raptor and Vivi product experts walk through how schools are using these connected systems during drills, student fights, medical emergencies, severe weather events, and other real-world incidents to strengthen communication and response throughout the school day.

Contrary to popular belief: the first person to notice a struggling student is rarely a school counselor.
While their role is essential, relying only on school counselors to address student mental health can limit how quickly concerns are recognized and supported.
๐งฉ Every role in a school community contributes to student wellbeing.
When schools treat mental health as a shared responsibility among different roles, instead of a siloed function, staff can notice concerns earlier, communicate more effectively, and support students more proactively.
Dig into specific strategies these 5 types of roles can apply to better support student mental health. ๐ https://bit.ly/49saKAO

When an emergency happens at school, clear and instant communication can make all the difference in response times.
In a recent webinar, school safety leaders Nick Georges, Nick Caputo, Josh Goldsmith, and Chris Porter shared how wearable panic alert systems and integrated mapping technology are helping schools streamline emergency response, improve situational awareness, and get critical information to first responders faster.
You can also hear how CRGโs integrated maps, displayed directly within the Raptor platform, provide precision-level location awareness and enhanced mapping to support faster coordination during emergencies.

The cruel impact of cyberbullying exists outside the internet. What may start in a simple group chat can quickly affect student wellbeing and campus safety.
Schools must navigate challenges that go far beyond traditional social media conflicts, including fake images, online radicalization, rumor escalation, and other concerning behaviors that can be difficult to identify before it grows into a larger issue.
Join us next week for an important conversation on how schools can strengthen awareness, intervention, reporting, and student support in a rapidly changing digital environment.
