Yesterday evening, the Construction Career Collaborative (C3), Go2work, and SERJobs came together at the SERJobs Workforce Resource & Training Center for a Construction Hiring & Networking Event.

Employers met face-to-face with pre-screened, certified candidates and job seekers from the community, with nearly 60 people in attendance. When the right people are in the same room, great things happen!

A huge thank you to our partners at C3 and GO2WORK for hosting this event and investing in Houston’s construction workforce. And to every candidate and employer who showed up last night, your presence made it real.

Ready to start a career in the electrical field? SERJobs’ Electrician Training Program prepares participants for entry-level electrician apprentice opportunities through hands-on training and industry-recognized certifications.

During the Construction Collaborative Roundtable, participants broke into focused discussion groups to identify the workforce challenges, hiring needs, and pipeline gaps impacting Houston's construction industry today.

These conversations helped uncover common themes and opportunities for collaboration across employers, workforce partners, and industry leaders.

This was just the beginning. Our next meeting will focus on bringing forward solutions, sharing best practices, and identifying actionable steps we can implement together to strengthen Houston's construction workforce pipeline.
