I did an Ironman.

Spent the last 8 months of my life and 500+ hours training for my first triathlon… a full Ironman. 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, and a 26.2 mile run. 140.6 miles in just under 12.5 hours. Crossing the finish line with was the most fulfilling thing I’ve ever done, and one of the most memorable moments of my life. I can’t even describe the physical pain I was in, it’s hard to understand what it feels like to run a full marathon after 8 hours of swimming & biking, but to give you an idea, at mile 25.97 it took everything I had just to make it another .2 miles. Very proud to say I didn’t walk any part the marathon, and I beat my splits on swim, bike, & run by a long shot, ending about 2 hours faster than expected. Onto the next 💪

Anyone who knows me has seen me head down these last 3 years building starting in my sdsu sophomore dorm room.

I’m incredibly grateful for this journey & every person that has been a part of it. We’re just getting started.

This beach was one of the most incredible places I’ve ever visited, but the sand was oddly wet, it almost felt like quicksand. After coming back to this beach a couple times we find out that the reef just off the shore has massive underwater caves & tunnels systems that actually extend underneath the beach itself, which explains the unusually wet sand. Not only that, but sharks often swim through them, so while you are laying on this beach there are most likely sharks just swimming around 30 feet below you 😐🦈
