Tend Building
Tend Building responds to the growing demand for radical improvements in ecological sensivity in design & construction.
We create artistic, functional structures with salvaged materials, environmentally responsible products, and raw earth (clay, sand, straw). Our designs aspire to inspire and regenerate all that is vital in life.

Once again we partnered with our students in the Prairie View A&M University School of Architecture to compete in the Department of Energy's Race to Zero Competition. We are thrilled to announce that we won both 1st Place in the Urban Single Family category as well as the Grand Prize! This has been a phenomenal collaboration that helps us to extend our research into affordable, net zero design for hot and humid climates.

It’s been a little over a year since we have posted. Currently, Tend Building is idle as Shannon and Shelly teach at Prairie View A&M and continue to expand our knowledge. If you have potential projects or questions, we would love to hear from you. Our passion continues to be designing and building unique small spaces that add to the world.
