Congrats to Ephraim “The Effect” Bui in his win of the WBO title in Puerto Rico last night. With the pressure of a bad cut in the 4th round, with officials ready to stop the fight Bui remained poised and went into the 5th round ready to end it, not just knocking out his opponent but making him do a fenty fold before collapsing face first into the canvas.

Customs and ICE didn’t care about those warrants when they let JCC, Jr come in, do media, train, and fight… but now they want to detain him in ICE detention and await deportation. The commissions need to be handling these fights involving out of country fighters differently because this is going to kill the sport while it kills human rights at the same time.
