Amity Developers was created with a vision to build a peaceful lakefront community: southern style, with a modern twist.

Amity Developers is a privately owned business that all started with a dream. The mission statement is: to provide excellence in architectural design, keeping a unique style, and functionality in our homes with dedication to quality, value and integrity.

Amity is building a lake community because thats what we do! Chris, Laura and their two sons spend most of their extra time on the water.

Growing up Chris enjoyed building and creating things with his hands. He’s always had a passion for using imagination to develop new projects. After getting a degree at Auburn University in Architecture/Environmental Design, he went to work for a large oil and gas company in Houston Texas as an architect/engineer and eventually business development. During that time, he still had a passion for residential design and construction. His wife, Laura encouraged him to follow his dream and in 2015 Amity Builders was born. Based out of Houston, he continues to own and operate this business. Amity Builders designs and remodels residential homes as well as new construction. After moving to Alabama, his passion to build gravitated towards the beautiful Lewis-Smith Lake. He is now developing and building lake front homes, with a neighborhood soon to follow.
