Happy pride month from your favorite horror-themed hair salon. At Looks That Kill we proudly serve as a safe space for all members of the LGBTQ+ community and people of marginalized groups. We are so grateful to have so many amazing clients who trust us with their hair as well as their identity. It is an absolute pleasure to provide gender affirming haircuts and to be able to give back to our community through our craft. On the second slide of this post you’ll see a retro poster from Houston in 1985 for a pride month event to benefit the community. My great uncle Jorge owned a bar in Montrose (Los Jorges) and participated in this event along with other bars in the area. I’m very grateful that I am able to help the community with this business just as he did back then and I will continue to do so.
