Celebrating Juneteenth with Purpose + Resilience
Our students spent a powerful day at Sterling Acre Woods’ Juneteenth Survival School, founded by Chef Jonny Rhodes. From learning how to build shelters and cook over open fire, to exploring land navigation and knot-tying, they were immersed in lessons on survival, history, and self-reliance.
This was more than a field trip — it was a celebration of freedom, legacy, and the skills our youth need to thrive. Thank you, Chef Jonny, for inspiring the next generation to honor the past while building their own empowered futures.

🌱 Field Trip Fun at Hope Farms! 🌿
Our students had an incredible day exploring Hope Farms, where they learned all about urban farming and how fresh, local ingredients go from the garden to the plate. 🥕🍅🌽
From pulling veggies out of the soil to preparing a delicious meal, they got hands-on experience in growing and cooking nutritious food — and had so much fun doing it! 💚
Thank you to our friends at for inspiring the next generation of chefs and changemakers!
