Buried my forever pastor today, G. T. Curry Senior.

As I read scripture in his homegoing service, it hit me… while wearing a tie that was his…I could barely lift my head to recite a scripture I’ve long known…I was standing there thinking….

He christened me, baptized me, licensed me to preach, and affirmed me. He baptized my father. Married my parents. Eulogized my grandparents…. The first 19 years of my life, he was the only pastor I ever knew.

And moreover, through bouts of church hurt, I realize he was the constant, prevailing imprint in my ministry.

I’ve been preaching for 20 years, and I still— and prayerfully ever will— hear him in my head encouraging in his own unique way.

The ETERNA55 really held its own while I had it on loan from for the last week. As I wrapped lens/camera testing for my upcoming feature film we shooting in Texas this fall, I met up with and he brought out a small portion of his arsenal (dude is loaded and a gear head!).

We threw on the new, timeless Arcana anamorphics and the show-stopping .official Cambrian primes. The headliner, however, was the freakin BAVEYES 1.3x 65mm Expander 😳. It opened the world to every lens , , and I threw out last week because of vignetting.
