We learned with sorrow the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis, who throughout his life promoted dialogue and mutual respect among religious people, and especially between Muslims and Christians.

It is our wish that Pope Francis’ legacy will be carried to life in the form of a more advanced level of dialogue and joint service to world peace among the followers of all religions and traditions in the world, especially the Abrahamic religions.

We send our heartfelt condolences to the entire Catholic world and all those who have been touched by his message of compassion, peace, and human fraternity.

We at the Dialogue Institute Houston extend our deepest sympathies to the people of Myanmar and Thailand affected by the recent earthquake. Our hearts go out to those who have lost loved ones, suffered injuries, or experienced devastation in their communities.

In times of hardship, we are reminded of the strength of solidarity and the power of compassion. We stand in solidarity with the affected communities and pray for their swift recovery, resilience, and healing.

A beautiful evening of reflection, unity, and service at our Annual Ramadan Iftar Dinner for Chaplains and Spiritual Care Providers. Grateful to be surrounded by dedicated individuals who tirelessly support those in need during life’s most challenging moments. Special thanks to Rev. Dr. Charles Millikan, recipient of the Spirit of Love Award, for his inspiring words. May this Ramadan continue to bring peace, compassion, and togetherness.

At , Dialogue Institute Houston and .bcf hosted and their youth for a meaningful interfaith Iftar gathering.

The evening began with a “spiritual show and tell,” where participants shared insights into their faith traditions. Guests then visited the Blue Mosque Houston and engaged in enriching activities, fostering dialogue and connection. The night concluded with a shared meal, celebrating the spirit of Ramadan and interfaith unity.

Nazli Cizmeci, Executive Director of Dialogue Institute Houston, participated in the International Women’s Day program with the United Nations Association - Houston, in partnership with the Mayor’s Office of Trade and International Affairs and the World Federation of UNAs.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this event a success in advocating for the rights and empowerment of women and girls everywhere!

As part of our tradition at Dialogue Institute Houston, we organized home iftars with friends and families during Ramadan 2025, sharing delicious food, engaging conversations, and meaningful cultural exchanges.

On March 13th, .bcf with organized an iftar event at . Nazli Cizmeci, Executive Director of the Dialogue Institute Houston, attended as the keynote speaker and shared her insights about Ramadan and how iftar events bring people closer together around shared tables, fostering interfaith connections. The youth enjoyed dinner together and had the chance to socialize. Huge thanks to Rice MSA for their support—it was an amazing gathering! Grateful to everyone who contributed!

Saint Timothy’s Anglican Church hosted an Iftar program in partnership with the Dialogue Institute Houston. Attendees enjoyed a delicious meal, gift exchanges, children's plays, and engaging group activities. A calligraphy artist created special calligraphy pieces for the guests, adding a unique touch to the event. A heartfelt thanks to Saint Timothy’s Anglican Church for organizing such an amazing Iftar gathering!

Last night’s Neighborhood Iftar Dinner was more than just a meal—it was a celebration of unity, culture, and art! Along with sharing food and conversations, guests enjoyed a mesmerizing water marbling art display and had the chance to get their names beautifully written in calligraphy. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the evening so special!
