Took a needed vacay break after 25 paintings but I am back on the playing card train... LaLa, Cooper, and Butter love their island life. Kayaking is a frequent and much loved activity for them. They wear little doggie life jackets but for the painting, I took a little artistic license to show them in full form. The "Seven Seas" has special meaning to their humans in regards to their bayside neighborhood.

Today is the opening reception for my Playing Card deck art! I know a lot of you guys are not in Houston. So now I have a link to pre-order the collectors’ edition of this deck. It will be an oversized deck (Cards will measure 3.5 x 5“). I will eventually print a regular size deck, but this deck is going to be special.

Sadie was only on this earth for five or so short years. But the time she had here was a very happy and pampered one. My client had a favorite photo of her at one of her birthday parties. Yes, you heard that right. 🥳 I love the photo too, and knew that it needed to be the inspiration for this Jack of Diamonds.

My show is now up at Silver Street and I’m very excited about it! It will be the only time when so many of the playing card paintings will be hung together… 25 of them. They will be up for the month of June in the West Gallery space (on view Monday through Saturday 9 to 5).

The opening reception is this Saturday June 6th from 4 to 6 PM. Swing by and I’ll buy you a glass of wine. The descriptions about the animals in each painting will warm your heart. We love our pets so much and it’s clear to see at this show!

Super excited that 51 of the 54 cards are spoken for now! 19 paintings done and 35 to go! This deck of cards is going to be so fun and meaningful!

Say hello to Toothy Mavis. Isn’t he adorable with those teefs!? He’s a greyhound who has never met a ball that he doesn’t love. Do you have a ball crazy dog? Give them a shout out here.
