FOR ALL THOSE WITHOUT FLOOD INSURANCE:
***FEMA needs your rejection letter from your insurance if you have no flood insurance.***

IMPORTANT LEGAL TIP!! FILE NOTICE OF CLAIM NOW WITH YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY.
***Whether you have insurance or not with Liberty Car Insurance I am here to help you file your claim***
To our amazing community in this difficult time, we are thinking of you and stand with you during the catastrophic effects of Harvey. Unfortunately, the laws in Texas have changed at a most inconvenient time and everyone should be aware. If you have sustained damages to your property because of Hurricane Harvey (or for any other reason), it is extremely important that you send notice of the claim to your insurance carrier PRIOR TO SEPTEMBER 1ST, 2017 (By this Thursday!). A new law passed by the Texas legislature protects insurance companies from penalties if they wrongfully deny, underpay, or delay your claim. This new law will apply to claims filed on or after September 1, 2017. We know that for all of us, our safety is the priority now and not these financial matters. However, note that if you don’t file your insurance claim with your carrier on or before this Thursday, your legal rights against your insurance company may be impaired. Just take a few minutes and send as much of the following information as possible by fax or email to your insurance carrier:
1. Name of Insured
2. Date of Loss
3. Property that was Lost/Damaged
4. Policy Number
5. Reasonable description of loss
Sincerely,
Maria Cuevas

Flood Policy. The National Flood Insurance Program is a federal program that provides insurance coverage for damages due to floods. While your homeowners insurance may pay for water damage due to broken pipes, flood insurance pays for damages caused by the rising of a body of water that covers normally dry land.
