A Former Apple employee confessed to committing fraud and conspiracy to defraud Apple of over $17 million overtime period of 7 years. Dhirendra Prasad who was employed by Apple in 2008, in a written plea agreement on November 1, said that he worked as a buyer in Apple’s Global Service Supply Chain for the most part of his tenure. His responsibilities involved purchasing parts and services for Apple from vendors.
How former Apple employee Dhirendra Prasad leveraged his position to defraud the company of over $17 million Prasad conducted multiple frauds with the company of which one involved him shipping motherboards from Apple’s inventory to CTrends, a company run by his accomplice named Don M. Baker in 2013.

Aiming to help small- to medium-sized business (SMB) owners enhance their operations and boost their digital capabilities, Mastercard has announced several new and expanded benefits available to its SMB cardholders in the United States.
In three new partnerships, cardholders can now access a variety of savings offers on eligible products and services from the Adobe Creative Cloud, McAfee cybersecurity offerings and the Priority Pass airport lounge network, Mastercard said Monday (Oct. 3) in a press release.
In addition, extended benefits now include additional savings offers on ShopRunner free two-day shipping and free returns at dozens of stores, Stride insurance benefits, Uber Freight shipping services and Uber for Business rides and deliveries, according to the release.

Finance automation platform Mesh Payments has raised $60 million in new funding and will use it to expand its go-to-market (GTM) efforts and continue its product innovation.
The new backing comes after the company tripled its revenue growth in the first half of the year, with 1,000 mid-market companies now using Mesh and close to $1 billion annualized payment volume (TPV) flowing through the platform, according to a Wednesday (Sept. 7) press release.
The company attributed the growth to companies shifting their focus from growth to cost and spend reductions, and looking for solutions that will assist them, per the release.
“The confidence in Mesh from investors and customers, even in a turbulent market, reinforces that our finance automation platform is what companies want to help them navigate a cost-cutting environment,” Mesh Payments Co-Founder and CEO Oded Zehavi said in the release.
