We have another Corgi!! Not just any old Corgi, a New York City Corgi!!

Her name was Fiora, but more recently has been called Fifi, and also answers to Tater tot!

Fiora was an Amish breeding dog who lived in a barn and was cast aside once she stopped being able to produce litters. But Fifi is a quirky little house dog that loves to run around her yard with her foster siblings.

As with most Corgi’s, Fifi has her quirks. But hers can mostly be explained by her tough start in life. When her fosters first got her she was a nervous wreck who wouldn’t even eat because the sound of the kibble hitting her bowl used to terrify her. She’s a lot better now, but will still only go outside if one of the other dogs goes out first, and will only come back inside if you don’t make eye contact with her 😂

She’s 20lbs, 3 year old, would love to be in a house with another dog, but probably not with young children who would scare her.

FOSTER PLEA!

One of our volunteers has come across a litter of nine puppies that need our help. We have room to take a few of them in, IF we can find fosters!

They’re 13-week-old Lab/Beagle mixes, and honestly, that’s about all we know right now. Just nine ridiculously cute little teddy bear looking puppies who need somewhere safe to land.

Whether you’re one of our regular fosters, have temp fostered for us before, or have been thinking about getting involved, please get in touch!

If we can find the fosters, we can do what we do best and get these babies on their way to finding homes. ❤️

We’re having an Adoption Day this Saturday, 08/22, and we still need 3 volunteers!

We’ll be at the Bunker Hill PetSmart from 10 AM–3 PM, with two volunteer shifts available:

10:00 AM–12:30 PM
12:30 PM–3:00 PM

If you can help with either shift, please send us a message. Even a couple of hours makes a huge difference and helps us give our dogs the best chance of finding their forever homes.

Sky went on a trial adoption last week. We were so excited because we thought there is no way this perfect dog is coming back. Only issue was, the potential adopter has a cat 🐈

Sky is so chill and friendly we didn’t think this would be an issue, but it was clear after a week that Sky and cat weren’t going to be able to cohabitate.

Obviously this isn’t really a bad trait, she is a dog after all! But it does mean whoever adopts her will have to be a Catless person.

She’s still perfect in every other way and still deserves to find a home soon.

So close Sky…..your person is out there somewhere!

8 months and still not a single app for Lenny. Which makes no sense, because he’s as well behaved as he is beautiful.

Always the star of the show at adoption days, gets along with every dog he meets, good with kids. Just a really good boy. And still so young, only 18 months old.
