We asked Javier Gonzalez, Senior Project Manager, and Jenn Chen, Office Manager, what their favorite design style is, and then asked them to pick a Greymark project that shows it.
Javi gravitates toward modern with bold and sophisticated flair, the kind of space that has a clear point of view and doesn't apologize for it. His pick was Lamonte, a kitchen with olive cabinetry, a pearl backsplash, and a natural oak island that manages to feel both collected and striking at the same time.
Jenn loves warm and classic, spaces that feel inviting and livable without sacrificing any of the detail. She chose Stoney Brook, a kitchen with soft gray cabinets, a blue-green island, brass hardware throughout, and a farmhouse sink that pulls everything together into something genuinely at home.
Which one is more your style? Drop Team Javi or Team Jenn in the comments.
Thank you JobTread Software and Eric Fortenberry for this wonderful discussion and chance to share our Greymark lore!
Chelsea Gartner is Greymark's Interior Designer, and she has heard every version of "I just want it to look good" there is. She is also very good at working with the person who walks in knowing exactly what they want and needs someone to help them get there.
This week on the blog, Chelsea talks about what she actually does, what she has access to that most homeowners don't, what a Pinterest board tells her that the client didn't know they were communicating, and why knowing your hard no's is as useful as knowing what you love.

This is Jorge Arreola, our Building Designer. He's spent eleven years at Greymark Design + Build turning "I don't know, it just doesn't feel right" into something we can build and you will love living in.
The golf was a company outing. We'll leave it at that.

A young couple in Memorial Villages loved their mid-century home, except for the kitchen, which hadn't been touched since the 1970s.
The stove was built into the island, and dark laminate cabinets closed the room off from a wall of windows that should have been the whole point.
One functional change of moving the stove to a proper counter unlocked everything. Two-tone cabinetry in white oak and painted white did the rest, along with a quartz counter with soft marbling and a full-height backsplash that brought the materials all the way up.
They lived there through the whole remodel with a newborn. Fridge in the garage, wet bar as the temporary kitchen. Worth every day of it.
The full story is on the blog.

Meet Troy, Greymark's extraordinary estimator. In our new blog this week he's spilling the beans about how he figures the cost of a remodel, the IRL numbers, not TV ones.

If your mental budget for a remodel came from watching someone gut a kitchen on HGTV for $45,000, Troy has been doing this for 30 years and has thoughts on that.
The real number depends on what's in the walls, what the city requires, what your selections actually cost, and a handful of logistics most people don't think about until they're in the middle of a project.
Our new blog covers all of it: what drives the cost, what change orders actually are, and how Greymark gets to a fixed price before a single wall comes down.

When we promise "maximum storage capacity" in your remodeled kitchen, we mean it. 😉
Meet Jorge (our building designer) and Chelsea (our interior designer) doing some highly official, very serious quality control testing on our latest project site.
We take our craftsmanship seriously, but we never take ourselves too seriously. 🛠️✨

If you've ever asked a contractor for a quote and gotten a number that seemed reasonable, here's something worth knowing: that number is almost always built on assumptions, and assumptions are what turn into change orders once construction starts.
Greymark does it differently because a number given before we understand your project isn't fair to you. Instead, our process narrows cost progressively from an informed starting estimate all the way to a fixed price in writing before demo begins.
We just published a blog walking through exactly how that works, and why Jorge, Chelsea, and Kelly think the relationship you choose matters as much as the number you're comparing: https://greymark.com/blog/why-greymark-doesnt-give-free-quotes
