It was an honor to host MA Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll () for a visit to Greentown this week! Lt. Governor Driscoll joined us for a tour through our prototyping lab and a roundtable discussion with 19 of our founders to discuss the Commonwealth’s support for climatetech innovators and how growing startups can best take advantage of this ecosystem to start, grow, and scale here.

We are grateful to the Office of the Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey () and LG Driscoll, and Somerville Mayor , State Rep. , and CEO Ben Downing for joining and providing the opportunity for our entrepreneurs to have a direct dialogue with local and regional administrations, share how they’ve benefited from local and regional support, and exchange ideas for how to continue investing in key growth industries, from energy storage to maritime innovation to building sustainability.

We are deeply proud to be and to serve as home to startups that not only begin here, but also grow and mature right here in the Commonwealth. Thank you to the Healey-Driscoll Administration for your continued support for our community!

Sending a huge thank you to our partner for welcoming a group of Greentown Houston members to the SLB Rosharon Campus (SRC) to learn more about SLB’s capabilities and pathways for collaboration with startups! Our members met with leadership and technical staff from SRC and the Enabling Technology Development teams, exchanging insights on how novel technologies can move from incubation to industrial deployment, before touring the site. We toured the state‑of‑the‑art test facility at SRC and were energized by the technologies showcased.

We are looking forward to seeing the collaborations that may emerge from this visit and are grateful to partners like SLB for their strong commitment to scaling climate tech solutions. Thanks especially to Laurent Alteirac, Paulo Valdivia, Akhil Bahl, and Huilin Tu for welcoming us!

Moisture is one of the most overlooked threats in homes—degrading building materials, driving up HVAC and dehumidifier energy use, and increasing health risks for occupants. But what if something as simple as a layer of paint could help manage these risks?

does just that. With a dual paint-and-primer system that absorbs excess moisture when humidity rises, and slowly releases it back into the room once it drops, Lilypad™ keeps moisture out of your walls!

In a year-long pilot in Greentown’s shower rooms, walls painted with Lilypad demonstrated a 15-percentage-point decrease in peak humidity compared to conventional paint. Now, Lilypad™ is available for consumers to purchase for their homes 🚿🎨
Lilypad’s parent company () started with just 150 sq. ft. of lab space and membership through a program—proof of what’s possible when great science meets the right support system.

Founders are at the heart of our mission: in the work to advance solutions for the enormous climate challenge and opportunity, our bet is on entrepreneurs. Their grit, their ingenuity, their vision for transforming *entire industries*.

That’s why everything we do goes back to what they need most when going from first idea, to first prototype, to first pilot, to first millon-dollar customer. For nearly 15 years, we’ve been surrounding them with what’s most important:

🛠️Labs and tools to build, test, and scale faster,
🤝Connections to customers, capital, and collaborators,
💚And a community of fellow entrepreneurs to help at every step

Today, we’re asking for your support. A generous donor is matching all donations up to $30,000—so your gift today will be DOUBLED!

Every dollar goes toward what founders need most—donate to today at the link in our bio.
